about amy
Hi, I'm Amy. I am a CPA qualified finance professional whose life took an enormous turn during October 2019.
At the age of 35, I experienced a vertebral artery dissection which led to an ischaemic stroke, impacting the balance centre of my brain, the cerebellum.

During the early stages of my stroke recovery, I decided to shine the light on something I could do, rather then dwell on the long list of things I was missing out on.

And so ........ I introduce theaimzrecovery.
A platform where I aim to spread hope and love amongst the acquired and traumatic brain injury community. Through sharing, I invite connection and it is here that I have found hope, the single biggest thing that has kept me going.
I continuously strive to provide a fun, realistic and authentic view of my recovery from brain injury and hope I can inspire others to keep going.

I live near the beach in Australia, with my husband, two children and golden retriever puppy, all of whom feature regularly on my Instagram account (@theaimzrecovery).
